Experiencing Consciousness – Inner Knowing Through Art

The inaugural session of the Experiencing Consciousness event series is a roughly one-hour workshop led by ICRL’s president, Jeff Dunne. We will start with a brief, guided meditation and then transition into a series of artistic exercises that use simple drawings and short writings in response to individualized prompts that are randomly (or perhaps not-so-randomly!) generated. The activities are designed to bypass the intellect and allow each person to tap into their inner wisdom to answer perhaps what they thought they wanted to know, but undoubtedly what they needed to hear. At the end, participants will have the opportunity – if they wish – to share their insights with another participant one-on-one, and/or with the whole group.

No background in art is required for this workshop, only an interest in trying something different in a safe, welcoming online group setting.

What to Bring

During this session you will be drawing and writing, so come prepared with paper and a pencil/pen. If you have colored pencils, that can be more fun.

You will also be asked to choose three random numbers when you register. They can be any numbers you like, but be sure to provide them when you register!

SoC – Consciousness, PK, and AI

ICRL’s president, Jeff Dunne, presents on the topic of Consciousness, Telekinesis, and Artificial Intelligence at the 2025 Science of Consciousness conference in Barcelona, Spain, 10 July 2025.  In this presentation, Jeff explores the commonalities between modern LLM technologies and traditional divination tools like the Tarot, the I-Ching, and so forth; discusses the potential for AI to possess consciousness, and what it would look like if it does; and offers insights for effective guidance in how people should/shouldn’t utilize AI.
