President's Note
Each of us has a path laid out before us, a journey of challenges and mysteries, of joys and sorrows. It is easy and natural to shake a fist at the heavens when things do not go as we believe they should, but why do we rage? Would life be worth living if everything was easy? Within that life can we ever really possess the perspective needed to appreciate what is good or bad in the grand scheme?
And of course, it is worth taking a moment to consider the target at which we might be hurling our frustrations. What if the ultimate architect of all our trials and tribulations turned out to be... ourselves?

Understanding the nature of consciousness is intrinsically connected to the processes of self-discovery and the ability to communicate such insights to others. And more often than not, the best language for such communication is art.
At the end of June, ICRL in partnership with the Galileo Commission launched an online installation in which artists and experiencers share in the exploration of what it means to be human. View the artwork and enhance the installation by sharing your own perspectives on some truly beautiful representations of the Facets of Human Experience.

The Consciousness Dialogues Retreats bring together people in small groups to expand their understanding of the world, of themselves, and to realize that these two understandings are intrinsically connected. We will be closing registration for our next event, September 11-15th at the Pari Center near Tuscany, Italy at the end of this week. Register now to be part of this life-changing experience!

The journey of discovery is best when shared. ICRL's Exploring Consciousness discussion series brings souls together to explore fascinating topics in a safe, welcoming online environment. Our next session will be held this Saturday, July 19th at 12:00 EDT, and address the idea of cycles as they relate to (and in many ways give shape to) our lives.

Last week ICRL's president, Jeff Dunne, gave a talk at the Science of Consciousness conference that examined the implications of today's Artificial Intelligence systems using random numbers as part of the mechanism for generating output. The presentation also provided a brief overview of generative AI as well as a discussion on the factors that people should remember when considering how to best leverage these new tools.
