President's Note

The universe has a way with opposites, paradoxes, and oddities. Consider, for example, that one of the best ways to feel better within and about one's own life—even better than overcoming one's own personal difficulty—is to help someone else.

Yet... is that really so illogical? We are, after all, part of an ecosystem, part of an interconnected whole. Is it so surprising to discover that helping others would be...

...an activity designed to provide personal reward?
...a way to let the universe know that you appreciate it?
 ...a path to increased interconnectedness?

Nobody makes it through life without help. Today, be there for someone else. You might discover it's the best thing you can do... for yourself.

A New Way to Keep in Touch

telegram

We have been on a quest to make staying in touch with ICRL as easy as possible and have created two new broadcast channels in Telegram for that purpose. If you are not familiar with Telegram, it is similar to WhatsApp and Signal, but with a focus on communities rather than individuals. Because of this, it enables us to create channels that are fully anonymous (e.g. when registering for announcements, you are not giving away your identity or contact information to anyone), yet with the flexibility for people to interact if they wish to do so (via an associated chat).

The two new channels we've created are:

1) ICRL Announcements: This channel will provide links for our monthly newsletters (like the one you're reading now), as well as notifications a few days before our Meetups and other online events. If you struggle with ICRL emails going into the spam folder, this is definitely a solution for you.

2) ICRL Thought of the Day: If you have been to the main page of our website, you might have noticed a blue banner at the top labeled "Jeff's Thought of the Day" (and if you click it, it takes you to a dedicated page with a history of past thoughts). Now you can have them delivered directly to you rather than needing to visit the website!

March ICRL Meetup

2026-03-07 Moss Meetup

We are excited to host Gwyneth Moss as the speaker for our next online ICRL Meetup on March 7th at 1:00 pm EST. In her presentation, How the Past Sticks, Gwyneth combines the basics of Polyvagal theory with the work of neurologist Robert Scaer to illustrate the complex relationship we each have with our individual pasts, and how to use this understanding to improve our lives in the present.

Exploring Consciousness

Sample

Exploring Consciousness is an online series inviting people to engage in interactive discussions on topics often outside the norm for daily discourse. Our next session on Saturday, March 14th at 12:00 pm EST // 6:00 pm CET will be on the topic of "Judgements and Justice", and we hope you will join us!

Partner Events

A few additional opportunities that we would like to share with you:

Fringe Physics with the Pari Center: This six-session online series will expose you to a variety of paradigm-shifting ideas that are taking traditional science in new directions.  You can learn more about the series at Pari's website. Oh, and Jeff Dunne will be doing one of the sessions (on March 15th) on the topic of "The Emergent Physical Universe: The Psychology of Subatomic Particles"

SMN's Mystics and Scientists 2026: The Scientific and Medical Network has offered this online conference for over four decades. This year's theme is "The Coming Age of Enheartenment: Love as an Alchemy of Transformation", and will be held April 17-19. You can learn more and register here.
